Community Gardening Effort

Bridgette Macilwaine and Pamela Godfrey were thrilled to secure a space for a community garden and growing project in West Sussex in 2025. The initiative gives volunteers a plot-to-plate experience by involving them in growing and harvesting organic, locally produced food. It welcomes people of all ages to share skills, enjoy the benefits of outdoor activity, and support health and wellbeing, with any surplus produce donated to local food banks.

Volunteer days currently take place on Sundays and are coordinated by Bridgette and Pamela with those on the volunteer list. As the team expands, additional volunteer sessions will be offered during the week.

About

If you're unable volunteer in the garden, but still wish to support the Communtiy Garden, your contribution can make a huge difference!

We're hoping to add more seating areas to the space, raised beds for elderly volunteers, add in a small wildlife pond.
